Description:
In a time of global uncertainty and ongoing pressure on mission‑driven and regional organizations, transitions are no longer occasional events—they’re a constant condition of work.

Using a short, memorable story and real-world examples from large institutions and smaller local organizations, this interactive session examines how people experience change during role shifts and restructures, and how unmanaged transitions can quietly erode trust, alignment, and retention.

Members will gain a simple, practical lens and conversation tools to help their organizations move from “I” to “WE” during uncertainty—strengthening resilience and collaboration when it matters most.

Format (60-minute virtual session):

  • Opening story to frame “I → WE” transitions
  • Brief teaching on what actually changes when roles/identities shift
  • Individual reflection + chat responses
  • Small‑group or full‑group discussion to apply the lens to current transitions
  • Practical questions and language they can use in upcoming conversations
  • Q&A and next steps

By the end of the session, participants will walk away with a shared language for transitions and one story‑based tool they can immediately use in their next difficult change conversation.
