Join RVHRA and speaker Heather Gunnell in December for An Experiential Introduction to Appreciative Inquiry: The Art of What's Possible.
Appreciative Inquiry is a strengths-based, collaborative approach to leadership development and implementing societal and organizational change. It is a change method that looks for the best in people, their teams, and the whole organization. Instead of trying to analyze the causes of problems and find out who is to blame, it focuses on identifying what’s working well and doing more of it.
In this session, we will explore the following:
- Learn the foundational elements of the appreciative inquiry method
- Discuss various situations to apply Appreciative Inquiry in our day-to-day HR work.
We will experience using the method, which will empower us to leverage this new skill in our daily interactions with employees and leaders.

Heather Gunnell is on a mission to transform workplace culture so that everyone can bring their best self to work and have enough energy and time to enjoy their life outside work. With nearly 20 years in leadership, having recovered from significant burnout to find a way to thrive in life and work, she understands the urgency to create a new work paradigm. Heather has extensive experience in nonprofit management, business operations, healthcare operations, employee well-being and engagement, team and program development, and strategic alignment.
